"He (Ralph Puri) is the son of Italian immigrant parents.
We (Leah and her husband Richard) travelled to Italy last year (2003) and traced down his family in Bolsena, Italy. Bolsena is a small town with a population of about 3000. About 15% of them have the surname "Puri." About all I could find out from them was that the Puri's have been in Bolsena "since the Pope ruled Italy." Think that was a long time ago, and obviously all the Puri's are related.

He was not particularly fond of the field, however, and now works for an accounting firm as a business manager for people in the entertainment industry. He lives in Santa Monica and shows no indications of wanting to return to small-town life. Son Dev is 22. He has finished his commercial pilot certification and is in his junior year at the University of Washington. He plans to be a airline pilot. Daughter Jessie is the baby. She is at Washington State University in Pullman, WA. She is majoring in broadcast journalism and psychology. She also is in her junior year.
