My family background comes from the Walton & Huffaker families on my paternal side and the Lewis and Lewis families on my maternal side. The Lewis name in Wales is very common. This makes tracing of ancestry somewhat difficult to follow. Both my Lewis grandparents were born and lived to adulthood in Wales.

Much of the information on the Walton family has been obtained from a book WALTON HISTORY by Hattie Walton Heninger as well as information compiled by Reuben Dyke Walton, brother of my father Reuel Walton. There is also a great amount of source material that I have saved in envelopes labeled according to its contents.

The information on the Huffaker family is considered authentic as it was taken from Simpson's diary and from information given to Pearl Perry McLelland (Genealogist for the Huffaker descendants), A copy of this history has been placed in the DUP Library.

Source material for the John Lort Lewis family has been taken from Owen Bushell, a third cousin, as well as material from the Rose Helgeson family. Rose Helgeson was my mother Florrie's youngest sister.

Source material on the Catherine Mary Lewis family has also come from the Helgeson family.

I have not included a complete record of my life after Chuck and I were married as a great deal of the information would be repetitious to the Bishop Book.
