This family tree starts with John Lort Lewis, who emigrated to the United States from Wales in 1896 with his son William, and continues to the present. To help you with the various brothers and sisters, you will find a horizontal rule separating them and their descendants.
Now, a few words about the list. The number in front of each person represents the "descendant" number since John Lort Lewis and Catherine Mary Lewis, i.e., John and Catherine are the number "1" persons. Their first child, William Lort Lewis, is of the second generation. Since William Lort Lewis had no children, let us look at the children of Frederick Robert Lewis and Mary Wilhelmina Danielson. Their first child was Robert Frederick Lewis and you will see a "3" in front of his name, i.e., he is of the third generation. The first person in the 6th generation is Maxwell James Loenlien, who was born in 1984. The first number after the person's name is the RIN, or, registry index number. Since Paul Lort Helgeson started this geneological data base using the software of the LDS church, he used his name at the start. Therefore, his RIN number is 1. As each person was added the software incremented the RIN number. As of 10-January-1997, there are 7038 names in the data base. The last number, the one in parentheses, represents the year in which the person was born. Have fun exploring !!!
