The result of this union of the Lewis and Helgeson families, the George S. Helgeson family, brought forth four sons, the first of whom they named:

George Lewis Helgeson,

but everybody calls me "Lew."

Let me start by giving credit where credit is due (and it is due to many people). First, my brother Paul (who died on my 70th birthday, October 2, 1993, and who would have turned 61 on his birthday the next day, October 3, 1993) showed me the excellent software that is produced by the Church of Christ of Latter Day Saints (LDS), commonly called the "Mormon Church." Paul and my brother Bob had talked with one of our Helgeson cousins, Verda Helgeson Thometz, also a devout Mormon, who was doing geneological research into the Helgeson family tree, and to Gladys Lewis Hutchinson, also a devout Mormon. Gladys' daughter, Glenna Lou Hutchinson Grandia and her husband Larry Dee Grandia, had spent several months in Wales and England doing geneological research into the Lewis family tree. Paul and Bob obtained copies of these records from these two excellent researchers and Paul entered them into the LDS software program. This was also a tremendous task. At the last Helgeson Family Reunion that Paul attended (August 1992), Paul told me that he had more than 7000 names in the data base (there are now 7792). At his death I took all of his files and have tried to keep up the records, but I'm falling behind rapidly. (HELP !!!)

These pages are organized in much the same way as the LDS software does it. If you jump to one of the two family trees, see below, you will see a list of names starting with the children of the two emigrant families, John Lort Lewis and Stanley Stengrim Helgeson. These lists are indented to show the children, grandchildren, etc. Each of these names is a link to that person. When you reach that person you will see their birth (and death) information, the name(s) of their wife(s), the names of their parents, the names of their children, and a link to information specific about that individual. Each of these is also a link.

From this page you may jump to the two primary family trees:
