DataBase Maintenance

Before we start discussing the detail of each of the three categories of databases, please look at the opening screens of these three and look at the similarities between them.

This is the "Personnel" database form.
This is the "Employer" database form.
This is the "Job Title" database form.

These three screen captures, above, show the opening screens. Each one contains an alphabetized list and, as you can see, there are several ways to maneuver this file. Look at the boxes at the bottom of the picture:

  1. You can use the scroll bar to move up and down the list
  2. You can move to the beginning of the list by using the ""|<" box,
  3. You can move to the end of the list by using the "">|" box,
  4. You can move down the list one line at a time by using the ">>" box, and
  5. You can move up the list one line at a time by using the "<<" box,

You can also add an entry by clicking on the "Add" box, you can delete an entry by clicking on the "Delete" box, you can update the list by clicking on the "Update" box, and you can refresh the entire list by clicking on the "Refresh" box.

Therefore, about the only comments that need to be made have to do with the "Personnel" database form, shown again so that you won't have to be scrolling up and down while you read these comments.

This is the "Personnel" database form.

The close-up screen below of the "Personnel" database form shows more then the other forms show, including the opportunity of entering the entire demographic information of the individual. Remember that dimensions are in whatever units were chosen in the parameters, whether they are in the English system or in the metric CGS system.

Nuclides Database

The nuclides database is actually a part of the parameters chapter, therefore, this subtitle will be removed. If you wish to look at the nuclides database now, click on the this link. This category will be removed from the screen in the next few days (August 6, 2007).

Messages Database

The Windows version of the "Helge" software does not maintain a messages database for different languages. This subtitle will also be removed.
